Job description
In our Kraków office, we are developing a road engineering design team that works directly with our Swedish Tyréns offices (https://www.tyrens.se/en). The team delivers projects involving the design of roads and streets in urban and built-up areas, reconstruction and upgrades of existing road infrastructure, as well as solutions related to drainage and traffic safety. We work in a BIM environment (Autodesk Civil 3D), coordinating multidisciplinary models and applying the design standards used in Sweden.
We are looking for road design assistants and designers with 2–10 years of experience who would like to develop their careers through projects delivered for the Swedish market.
Requirements
- university degree in civil engineering, preferably with a specialization in roads, streets, highways, or a related field,
- experience in geometric design of roads, streets, and intersections,
- knowledge of the English language,
- proficiency in road design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk AutoCAD,
- knowledge of other design-supporting tools (e.g., AutoTurn, Vehicle Tracking) will be an additional advantage,
- experience working in an international environment will be an asset,
- flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
Scope of responsibilities
- developing 3D models of roads, streets, and intersections in Autodesk Civil 3D (corridors, longitudinal and cross sections, vertical alignment, terrain model),
- designing basic road drainage elements (ditches, slopes, water outlets) when related to the geometric model,
- performing vehicle swept path analyses (AutoTurn / Vehicle Tracking) and optimising geometry based on simulation results,
- preparing design documentation (drawings – plans, cross sections, profiles, 3D models),
- preparing material quantities and take-offs based on 3D models,
- ensuring the quality of models and documentation in accordance with BIM standards and internal guidelines,
- active collaboration with project teams located in Sweden.
